Overview

About Association of Applied Biologists

AAB is a learned society and charity focused across many areas of Applied Biology. We deliver our charitable mission through the publication of scientific journals in applied biology, the organisation of conferences across a range of related subject themes, the formulation and dissemination of policies to promote the discipline, the publication of a monthly newsletter and by providing opportunities that reduce the barriers to access for our members.

As a society we own two journals: Plant Biotechnology Journal & Annals of Applied Biology; and convene 12 specialist groups. As the lifeblood of our society, the majority of our events are associated from their areas of interest and the activities of their members:
– Applied Plant Pathology
– Applied Tree and Forest Biology
– Biological Control and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
– Cropping And The Environment (CATE)
– Early Career Professionals
– Food Systems
– Horticultural Quality and Food Loss
– Nematology
– Pesticide Application
– PlantEd: Genome Editing in Plants
– Soil and Root Biology
