About Abhaile Mortgage Arrears

Abhaile is a free, non-judgmental, State-funded service for people in Ireland who are in long-term mortgage arrears. Our goal is to help people find a lasting solution and, where possible, stay in their home.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mortgage payments, then meet with an expert and qualified adviser—online or in person—for clear, confidential advice tailored to each unique situation. Depending on the needs, someone in mortgage arrears may be referred to:

- A MABS Dedicated Mortgage Arrears (DMA) Adviser
- An Accountant
- A Personal Insolvency Practitioner (PIP)

Our expert panel also includes legal professionals who can support people through the process of reaching an arrangement. If they qualify, they will receive a voucher to access these services at no cost.

Abhaile is coordinated and funded by the Departments of Social Protection and Justice. MABS, the Insolvency Service of Ireland (ISI), the Legal Aid Board and the Citizens' Information Board (CIB) are working together to provide the Abhaile services.

Mortgage arrears can be lonely, but it does not have to be. Abhaile is here to help.
