About ABLE Youth
ABLE Youth, located in Nashville, TN, helps children who use wheelchairs learn that they are not defined by their disabilities and how to become happy, healthy, and independent from their wheelchairs. ABLE Youth leads children and youth ages 2-22 to become independent, graduate from high school and continue their education in college or enter the workforce. At ABLE Youth, sports is a motivating catalyst for kids to reach goals of independence. Our kids are examples that with believing in themselves, becoming accountable to themselves, and working hard, they not only can but will succeed in life.
ABLE Youth programming includes monthly Super Sports Saturdays, opportunities for kids to learn all about adaptive sports and independence skills and for parents to learn about various topics associated with raising a child with a disability, the Music City Thunder travel wheelchair basketball teams, track and field/multi-sport meets, wheelchair and handcycle racing, a yearly Independence Camp, wheelchair tennis lessons, waterskiing clinics, and more.
