About Abundelo
Abundelo is a nonprofit initiative working in close partnership with African Parks to enhance environmental education and conservation awareness among youth living near protected areas across Africa. Our mission is to empower the next generation of conservation leaders through accessible, engaging, and interactive technology-driven learning.
In collaboration with SafetyCulture, we are developing an interactive digital curriculum covering topics such as biodiversity, wildlife protection, climate change, and sustainability. This content is delivered by local community facilitators using Samsung Galaxy tablets, increasing access to high-quality education in regions with limited resources.
Abundelo currently operates in eight national parks, including Odzala-Kokoua, Liwonde, Bangweulu Wetlands, Nyungwe, Akagera, Bazaruto, and Zakouma, with plans to expand across all African Parks protected areas in the coming years.
We are always looking for passionate volunteers interested in conservation, education, media, and social impact. Visit the link in our volunteer post to learn how you can get involved.
