About AC Group of Companies
AC Honed Group is a group of companies that supplies honed and unhoned tube, chrome shafting, and specialist machining services to the hydraulic industry and other industries.
AC HONED TUBE was founded in 1978 by Andre Calitz and was first known as Hydrofit Engineering. At that time the company specialised in the design and manufacture of specialised hydraulic equipment. Andre Calitz found there was a shortage of honed cylinder tubing and chrome shafting, so he investigated the possibility of manufacturing these products locally.
At a later stage, a hard chrome plant company was purchased for the manufacturing of chrome shafting and hard chroming. Due to the change in product, our name was changed to AC HONED TUBE and AC HARD Chrome.

We are among the largest manufacturers and suppliers of chrome shafting, honed and unhoned tubing in Africa. We can supply complete barrels, shafting, and components for all types and sizes of hydraulic cylinders thanks to our specialized machining capabilities.
We can hone to precise sizes in accordance with customer requirements since our honing department is equipped with the world's most specialized honing machines.
We currently have +-20 000m² property with +-12 000m² under roof. It consists of 10 bays with 15 overhead cranes with up to 20t capacity.
To make sure that we can constantly satisfy the needs of our customers, we are still growing and expanding.
