We're Academic Audio Transcription, founded by Zara Bain a disabled woman founder and our current managing director. Zara set up AAT when she had to suspend her PhD studies due to disability and chronic illness but couldn’t find accessible flexible remote work — so she made a way to do that for herself and the freelancers within our network.

At AAT, we offer transcription services with a social impact. Our work supports research, improves access, and creates fairly-paid work for disabled people.
