Overview

About Achira Labs Pvt. Ltd.

Achira Labs is a pioneering technology company developing solutions for point-of-care medical diagnostics. Our vision is to develop healthcare solutions that empower patients and doctors with convenient and timely access to accurate medical testing in underserved markets. Both doctors and patients would like to move to forms of medical testing that are quicker and closer to them, while still providing the reliability of central lab tests. We believe our solution will radically alter the paradigm for medical diagnostics through the development and commercialization of low-cost and local technologies.

Our flagship product called ACIX100 is a patent-protected (with multiple issued IP) microfluidics-based platform for multiplexed immunoassays at the point-of-care. The platform which is a combination of a plastic disposable with embedded dry reagents and a cloud-connected fluorescent scanner has been clinically validated for 7 different immunoassays in thyroid and fertility with more new hormone and infectious tests in the pipeline.

We have an enthusiastic, inter-disciplinary R&D team with expertise in assay biochemistry, microfluidics, and electronics. Our scientists and engineers are trained in some of the finest institutes in India who possess interdisciplinary skills that can help solve challenges at the interface of biology and engineering. We believe in building a flat work culture where a free interchange of ideas and passion for innovation drives the team. Achira is an ISO 13485:2016 certified company and our integrated facility in Bangalore hosts both manufacturing and R&D.
