ACT Accelerate Climate Transition

ACT Initiative (Accelerate Climate Transition Initiative, formerly Assessing low Carbon Transition Initiative) is an international initiative initially launched in 2015 by ADEME in partnership with CDP, now co-sponsored by ADEME and the World Benchmarking Alliance. It is part of the action agenda of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and aims to provide companies, whatever their size, sector or markets, with methods and tools to work on their transition plans compatible with the Paris Agreement. It offers 2 paths for building or assessing their climate strategy: ACT Step by Step and ACT Assessment. ADEME is continuing to roll out the initiative in France through the French Voluntary Program, offering financial support to companies, training for the various stakeholders and networking between the different players in the ACT ecosystem.
