About ADHAR
ADHAR is a registered grassroots level non-governmental organisation, which was founded by few self-motivated youths in early nineties to fight against the poverty, hunger, deprivation, injustice, inequality and other socio-economic and environmental issues of the poorest region of Odisha. Initially, ADHAR get involved in relief operation during natural calamities like drought, flood and cyclone and after registered under Society Registration Act. 1860 in 1992 further registered with 12A, 80G of IT Act. and FCRA, it was given a strategic direction to address the issues of poverty, hunger, malnutrition, illiteracy and livelihood promotion.

Since last three years ADHAR’s programme focus on Education & Skill Development, Livelihood, Health & Nutrition, Protection and Climate resilience. Through above all programme programmes ADHAR able to reach out around 2 lakhs families directly and indirectly. ADHAR Mission is to reach out more vulnerable and underprivileged families to bring about positive changes in their lives and livelihood.

“An equal and just society where the underprivileged, deprived and vulnerable sections of the society, empowered them enough to effectively participate in the development process leading to control over their resources, access to basic rights and entitlements”.

Mission:
To facilitate and strengthen the community-led holistic, inclusive and integrated sustainable development initiatives by capacitating the disadvantages communities, strengthening the community institutions, creating replicable models and engaging with different stakeholders to socio-economically empower the underprivileged and vulnerable section of the society prioritising women & children.
