Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust® established by Parama Poojya Jagadguru Sri. Sri. Sri. Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji in the year 1974 had the primary focus of enlightening the rural youth with accessible, affordable, equitable and excellent education. The ACU was formally inaugurated in 2018 as a private university with the provision of regulations from Govt. of Karnataka.

The Vision of the University is “Education for all with value systems of Empathy, Enrichment, Equity, Excellence, Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Enlightenment to serve the society”.
Adichunchanagiri University, located on a 67-acre lush green campus, comprises six faculties: Engineering, Management & Technology, Health Sciences (Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing & Allied Health Sciences), Humanities & Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. The eco-friendly campus offers robust infrastructure and resources for multidisciplinary academic and research activities.
Adichunchanagiri University hosts over 7,000 students, supported by more than 1,000 teaching faculty and 1,500 staff members. ACU offers UG, PG and PhD in Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health sciences, Natural Science, Engineering and Technology, Management and Education.
Adichunchanagiri University holds robust infrastructure, equipment, and laboratory facilities across all schools.
The state-of-the-art ACU-Centre for Research and Innovation (ACU-CRI), Adichunchanagiri Institute for Molecular Medicine (AIMM), Centre of Research Management & Industrial Linkage (CORMIL), and Centre for Molecular Pharmaceutics & Advanced Therapeutics (CMPAT) are worth mentioning. These support advanced interdisciplinary research, yielding high-quality publications and patents.
