Advocates for Universal DPD/DPYD Testing

Non profit patient advocacy group aiming to change the standard of care for cancer patients who will be prescribed 5FU or capecitabine to include DPYD testing prior to treatment. Individuals with certain DPYD gene variants cannot properly excrete excess drug for their body which can result in severe toxicity or even death. By testing patients before treatment with 5FU or capecitabine, suffering will be reduced and lives will be saved.
