About AECS HEC Montréal
The Graduate Students' Association (AECS) at HEC Montréal represents 4,000 students enrolled in D.E.S.S., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs.
As a central pillar of student life, AECS’s mission is to support students throughout their studies, whether socially, academically, or professionally, by offering a variety of activities, events, and services tailored to their needs.
With over 100 volunteers, AECS oversees 13 committees and organizes around 150 projects annually.
These committees are divided into several categories:
- Academic and Professional: Digital Committee, Data Science Committee (CSD), Doctoral Symposium, International Graduate Competition (IGC)
- Social and Cultural: Cultural Committee, Le Bal, Ludos, Leaders, TEDx HEC Montréal
- Engagement: Diversity HEC, HEConnecte, HECOresponsable, Sports Committee
Our main activities include:
- Organizing social and professional events: conferences, workshops, networking opportunities
- Supporting committees in executing their academic and extracurricular projects
- Providing rigorous and transparent resource management to maximize impact
Governance:
AECS is led by students elected by their peers.
