About AEFI - Italian Exhibition and Trade Fair Association
AEFI, the Italian Exhibition & Trade Fair Association was founded in Rome on March 14th, 1983 to create synergies among the most important Italian exhibition venues.
AEFI represents and promotes, both in Italy and abroad, the interests of the sector, provides services to its members, develops projects aimed to reinforce the competitiveness and the prestige of the represented sectors at International level.
This means that AEFI:
- is preferred representative for the Exhibition & Trade Fair System at national and regional level
- realizes promotional campaigns within sector agreements reached with the National Government
- acts as editor of multilingual publications and newsletters
- is in charge for the wide spreading of the National Trade Fair Calendar
- carries out Research & Development activities in collaboration with Italian Universities
- organizes and realizes training programs for its members about regulatory, legal, commercial and promotional matters concerning the trade fair sector
- is engaged in promotion activities through conferences, meeting, workshops, advertising and other marketing tools
- provides services to trade fairs through the work of its professional specialized Committees.
- represents the Italian Trade Fairs within UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry
- has promoted – together with CFI-Confindustria, CFT-Confcommercio and and Unioncamere – the constitution of ISFcert, the Institute for the Certification of Trade Fair Statistical Data, which uses rigorous methodologies that allow Italian organizers to present and recognize standardized data, in the name of transparency and guarantee.
