About Aerial Evolution Association of Canada

Aerial Evolution Association of Canada / Association pour l’Évolution Aérienne du Canada is the national non-profit industry association representing Canada's community of unmanned vehicle systems. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, support various committees, & are supported by sponsors, partners & members.

Our Mission:
'To promote & facilitate the growth of the Canadian unmanned vehicle systems community through education, advocacy, & the exchange of ideas & technologies."

We are committed to promoting the social, economic & environmental benefits that unmanned systems provide to help explore, protect, monitor, & better understand our magnificent country.

Our Goals & Objectives
We recognize the diversity of voices in our rapidly growing community, yet strive to provide a strong, single voice to advocate for safety, professionalism, & a stable, responsive regulatory framework.

WE FACILITATE CONNECTIONS by hosting a world-class national annual conference & trade show, "Aerial Evolution" community roundtables, events & webinars. We use social media, Aerial Evolution NEWS emails, trade delegations, and The Journal of Unmanned Systems to share member & industry research & news.

WE FOSTER FUTURE LEADERS by working with universities & colleges to host National Annual Aerial/UAV & Ground/UGV Student Competitions. We offer significant student discounts on memberships & events, host Canada's Annual National UAS Student Paper Competition, & administer the Mark Cuss Memorial Scholarship

WE ADVOCATE FOR OUR COMMUNITY by representing our sector to the public, the private sector, policy-makers & the media. We work with Transport Canada, ICAO, & other agencies to develop & promote a responsive regulatory framework. We recognize community champions with Aerial Evolution Organizational Awards & the Pip Rudkin Individual Achievement Award.
