The department of orthopedics of the Radboudumc strives to have a significant impact on musculoskeletal healthcare. Our mission is to provide the optimal patient specific care for patients with bone deformities and defects by optimal planning, treatment and evaluation with state of the art innovative technical solutions.
We have a strong history in the application of modern technologies in healthcare, resulting in the development of bone impaction grafting (BIG), the application of finite element modelling in prosthesis evaluation, a new meniscal prosthesis and so on.
Our research is conducted in close collaboration between researchers and patient care to ensure the best possible solution and fit for the clinically encountered problem. This leads to better testing and implementation of our findings and the availability of the outcomes for our patients.
