About AFRICA JUST TRANSITION NETWORK
The Africa Just Transition Network (AJTN) was established in 2018 and is well recognised in the region and beyond for its work. The network is made up of 88 organisations in including CSOs, NGOs and CBOs across 25 African countries. AJTN strengthens and supports various national and grassroots coal resistance struggles, bringing them together through various platforms. The Network strives to grow the demand for the phase-out of coal and other forms of dirty energy for a just transition across Africa. The Network also calls for a Just Transition to a regenerative economy, and a society based on social and gender justice with clean air, water and renewable energy that is accessible to all.
Africa Just Transition Network is a dedicated advocate for environmental justice and sustainable development. We are committed to empowering communities and fostering positive change through a variety of innovative initiatives.
