About Africa Women Summit
The African Women Summit is an annual event that brings together a thriving community of women policy makers, change makers, global experts and professionals from all over Africa and the diaspora.
The Africa Women Summit harnesses the enormous capacity and goodwill of women in Africa by bringing them under a coalition towards achieving 4 (Four) thematic points that align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Peace in Africa. Girl-Child Education. Ending Hunger in Africa. Ending Poverty in Africa.
The Africa Women Summit is targeted at creating sustainable peace and development in Africa. Since its launch in 2018, it has been a life-changing event that convenes Change makers, Policy makers, Global professionals, Female Political Leaders, Wives of Presidents in Africa, Visionaries and Influential women from all over the African continent and the diaspora to a 3 Day event to access and extend networks, build partnerships and collaborate on larger projects, be inspired, be mentored, brainstorm ideas, launch initiatives and discuss pressing issues affecting the continent and also to strategize on how to develop and build sustainable solutions to these pressing issues.
We have successfully held Three (3) editions of the Africa Women Summit in past years hosting excellent and phenomenal speakers such as: Joyce Banda (Former President of Malawi), Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor (Vice President of Liberia), HE. Aisha Buhari (First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria), Marieme Esther Dassanou (Manager, Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) Africa Development Bank (AFDB)) and Prof. PLO Lumumba (Founder and Chairman "The PLO Lumumba Foundation") amongst others.
