About African Angle
The African Angle exists for one reason only: The People of Africa. As Africans, we care about the issues that face our people and as journalists, we care about the way these issues are reported.
We are an independent not-for-profit newsroom, sorely dedicated to in-depth reporting and analysis of development issues in Nigeria and the African continent.
African Angle will work with Africans in the Diaspora. We will work with our friends and partners in the West, who share our vision and can bring valuable skills to help Africa in an equal and respectful manner.
How We Report
In reporting development issues facing communities and the people of Africa, we will analyse with the intention of calling the attention of policy makers, politicians and governments to the issues raised with a view to making long and lasting changes.
We will draw attention to the conditions in which communities and deprived (marginalised) live and situations that require interventions and social changes. Our reporting shall deploy excellent prose and importantly tell the story from the human angle. At African Angle, we believe that every life is more than the statistics.
Our Vision
We envision an Africa that can meet the basic human needs of infrastructure and good environment, shelter and food for her citizens. The African Angle is envisioned to help achieve this goal by collaborating with all stakeholders to accelerate Africa’s 2063 development blueprint.
Mission
To contribute to the development of Africa for a progressive and globally competitive continent.
