About After School Music Academy
After School Music Academy partners with K–12 schools across California to deliver SEL-aligned music and arts programs supported by Prop 28 and ELOP funding.
Since 2015, ASMA has provided turnkey, developmentally aligned programs that build student confidence, collaboration, and self-expression through music. Our approach recognizes that effective music education must reflect how students engage and learn at different stages, which is why our programs are age-appropriate, culturally responsive, and accessible.
Trusted by school districts statewide, we work alongside public, private, and charter schools to expand access to high-quality music instruction while remaining aligned with state guidance. Programs are designed to supplement—not replace—existing instructional services, supporting whole-child development and student engagement.
Through Prop 28– and ELOP-aligned implementation, we help schools overcome common barriers such as staffing limitations, resource constraints, and program availability. When appropriate, we also support districts through the Prop 28 waiver process, allowing flexible implementation without disrupting existing structures.
Music education strengthens learning, connection, and community. Our work helps schools create meaningful opportunities for students to explore, create, and thrive.
