About Age Well East
Age Well East is a charity that supports over 4,000 people and their families across Essex.
It is our mission to support and empower people to age well.
A fifth of 75 year olds are now living below the poverty line, and many are unaware of the benefits and entitlements they could be claiming. We, through helpful conversation and mindful investigation, can help people in later years access vital extra funds or assistance.
We also connect communities to tackle loneliness; support people through emotional challenges, and we empower people to live well with dementia.
Our key activities:-
• Money and health through the Advice Service
• Loneliness through Community Befriending
• Dementia support, information and training
• Reconnecting through friendship groups
• Digital through support courses
• Volunteering in a wide range of roles
