About AiBEC - Association of insurance Building & Engineering Consultants
AiBEC has been established as the dedicated, industry-specific organisation supporting professional Engineering and Building Consultants in the Insurance Industry.
The decision to create this industry organisation is in response to reports by several leading insurance bodies that individually expressed concerns about the significant lack of consistency, professionalism and quality in reporting prepared by engineers and building consultants working with insurance claims.
We aim to raise the professional standing of this sector by providing training and professional development opportunities to our members to enable them to deliver the highest possible level of service to their clients and stakeholders.
Ultimately, we aim to represent this growing sector of the Insurance Industry and have our members recognised as the preferred professional advisors concerning building and engineering insurance claims.
The AiBEC Board of Directors for 2025 are as follows:
π© Deniz Bekir (Chair) β Silver Wolf Projects
π© Kate Middleton (Vice Chair) - Arc Projects
π© Andrew Morse β Morse Building and Engineering Consultants
π© Glenn DβCosta β ATTAR
π© Nik Housh β Silver Wolf Projects
π© Grant McIntosh β Suncorp
π© James McIntosh β Sedgwick
π© Frank Mamasioulas - Riverwall Constructions
π© Tony Libke - CEO
AiBEC objectives are :
Β· Industry-wide recognition of the need to improve standards in Expert Reports.
Β· Recognition that Expert Reports identify causation and not provide an opinion on policy response.
Β· Acknowledgement of the strategic and increasingly important role played by experts in claims settlements.
Β· To be the representative body for building and engineering consultants in dealing with ICA, AFCA, Insurers, Loss Adjusters, and others.
Β· To provide tailored training with emphasises on insurance issues.
Β· To establish best practice approaches in the preparation of insurance reporting for the benefit of all parties involved in the claims process.
