Amity Institute of Social Sciences (AISS) was established in July 2010. Social Sciences explores various aspects of human society. It is commonly used as an umbrella term to refer to a dynamic field outside of the natural sciences. These include: Sociology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Political Science, Social Work and, in some contexts, Psychology. The study programs offered by AISS include both applied and pure social science. Currently the programs offered are in the field of Political Science, Development Studies, Social Work, Sociology, History,Philosophy and Geography.
