About Aitenga Women Empowerment Organisation
In Uganda, 41% of people live in poverty, and almost half of
Uganda’s population is under the age of 15, only 53% of children complete primary education. Statistics show that while the informal sector offers a key employment alternative, most women and young people lack the essential skills. Over 2 million youths are out of school, with the majority lacking regular employment.
Aitenga strives to create learning opportunities and promote self-reliance for sustainable development. Through a variety of programs, we empower communities by equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in various fields, helping individuals succeed in both personal and professional development. Our programs include;
- Tailoring $ Hands- On Skilling
- Innovative product design workshops
- Starting points entrepreneurship workshops
- Education & Career path development workshops
- Bible study fellowships
- Earth care project
