AKTI Project and Research Centre

AKTI Project and Research Centre is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation whose overarching mission is to promote sustainable development and raise environmental awareness in key target groups. To achieve its mission, AKTI undertakes projects and implements activities that aim to, inter alia:
• study, explore, research and advocate on environmental, scientific, social and other relevant issues;
• disseminate information and research on the environment and the coastal area,;
• enhance the exchange of information and experiences regarding practices on resolving key environmental problems;
• carry out research on subjects related to the coastal area and the environment in general; and
• organise and implement environmental education activities and programs.

Since its establishment, AKTI has evolved into one of the largest, most respected, and active environmental NGOs in Cyprus, with an active presence in European and international consortia for the implementation of transnational projects.
