About ALCOMET AD
Alcomet AD is Bulgaria’s leading manufacturer of flat-rolled and extruded aluminium products, with over 40 years of expertise in non-ferrous metallurgy. Located in Shumen, Bulgaria, our fully integrated production facility covers the entire downstream aluminium cycle—from billet and coil casting to extrusion, cold-rolling, and prefabricated components—ensuring exceptional quality and efficiency.
With an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons, Alcomet serves key industries including Automotive, Building & Construction, Transportation, Packaging, and Engineering across European and US markets. Over the last two decades, we have invested more than €165 million in state-of-the-art technologies and sustainable manufacturing, reducing carbon emissions and enhancing recycling.
A major milestone in 2021 was the launch of our €14 million automotive facility, dedicated to precision-engineered aluminium profiles for EV battery modules and chassis components. Equipped with cutting, milling, punching, assembly, and laser marking capabilities, the facility meets the highest automotive industry standards.
Looking ahead, Alcomet is executing a €70 million investment project (2023–2026) to expand production and diversify our product range. This includes a continuous casting line, new extrusion lines, and a universal foil mill, creating 160 new jobs. Key objectives include:
✅ Developing innovative aluminium alloys for EV battery applications.
✅ Expanding extrusion production to supply automotive and renewable energy sectors, including solar panel profiles.
