ALFA TRAFILI

Alfa Trafili was born in 1979. Since the beginning Alfa Trafili has dedicated to the production of copper and aluminum conductors for electrical sector in general with a specialization for railway sector. Over time it has acquired an high level of experience and expertise in the vast range of products offered to satisfy all its customers’ needs. With two plants, in Alfianello (BS) and Pontevico (BS) on a global area of 50.000 mq (25.000 mq are covered), Alfa Trafili is one of the Italian industry leaders. The high degree of specialization has constantly supported the technological improvement of our plants. The continuous exchange of experience between our technicians and plant producers has enabled us to apply the very latest technologies, to achieve and maintain performance levels of absolute excellence. Alfa Trafili is qualified in the most important public organizations (such as Terna and RFI), both in Italy and abroad, in the electrical and railway sectors. Since 2018 Alfa Trafili has been acquired by Icel Group (www.icelscpa.it) which is one of the most important European producers of low voltage cables. The facility is completed by raw material and finished product reception, inspection and storage departments, technical department and testing-inspection room. The processing departments of copper and aluminum create the entire production cycle: casting, drawing, stranding and twisting. The production of Wire Rod is realized with last generation electric oven, fully automated and with zero impact in terms of emissions, which combined with the use of high quality cathodes ( registered registered grade “A”), allows the output of oxygen free wire rod with an oxygen content of 2ppmm. The diameter can be of 8 mm and be supplied in coils with an average weight of 4 tons but with the possibility of maximum 5 tons.
