About Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF)
The mission of Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF) is to build a sustainable, business friendly environment that grows investments and jobs in Westbank New Orleans through advocacy, marketing, business development, recruitment and retention.
AEDF was founded in 1991 by a dynamic group of Algiers residents, business owners and professionals who mobilized to ensure that Algiers’ business and community development needs were advocated, protected and prioritized at various levels of leadership.
Today, that vision is realized in AEDF’s various economic development initiatives and special projects. On a regular basis, AEDF engages businesses, civic organizations, elected officials and regional partners on collaborative and economically sustainable projects that add value to Algiers’s commercial competitiveness, historical relevance and rich cultural economy.
