About Alive & Thrive
Alive & Thrive is a global Maternal, Infant, Young Child and Adolescent nutrition (MIYCAN) initiative to save lives, prevent illness, and ensure healthy growth and development. Alive & Thrive is managed by FHI 360 Global Nutrition.
Since its proof-of-concept phase (2008-2014), Alive & Thrive has continued to add to the MIYCAN research and implementation learning evidence base and to generate valuable programmatic insights about policy advocacy, social and behavior change (SBC), strategic use of data, and systems strengthening.
In addition to initiating programs in new geographies, A&T has expanded its technical work to include integration of MIYCAN interventions into health, food, education, and social protection systems. Deep knowledge of country-level governance structures has allowed the initiative to offer innovative programmatic solutions, while continued engagement with a network of national and global partners has facilitated contributions to collective impact around advocacy, policy reforms, global guidance, and technical standards, including those for reaching the World Health Assembly targets and related Strategic Development Goals.
