Overview

About Alkira

Alkira is a not-for-profit organisation that is all about community access and inclusion for people who have a disability. We’ve been a part of the Box Hill community for generations and continue to grow our services across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

At Alkira, our participants are at the heart of everything we do. Every day, we see people achieve their goals — whether it’s learning a new skill, finding employment, building friendships, or trying something for the first time.

We want participants to live independently, gain sustainable employment and have access to new opportunities and pathways. We offer community connection and participation, pathways beyond school, supported accommodation, supported holidays, respite, carers support, AlkiraBiz Café social enterprise and our Op Shop retail training environment.
