Overview

About All Stars Project of Chicago

The All Stars Project, Inc (ASP) founded in 1981, is a national nonprofit that uses the power of performance to create transformative, life changing experiences for youth from poor and underserved communities across America. We do so in partnership with hundreds of business professionals, artists, and other caring adults whose investment in ASP’s free afterschool development programs gives everyone the opportunity to grow. In Chicago, Dallas, Newark, New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area, and, virtually, nationwide, ASP is creating community, building bridges and giving thousands of young people opportunities to engage with the world in new ways, grow as leaders and acquire the kinds of relational skills critical for personal and professional success in today’s world.

The All Stars Project of Chicago (ASP of Chicago) works in Windy City neighborhoods on the South and West sides that have been hardest hit by poverty and violence. Since our launch in 2007, ASP has touched the lives of over 50,000 young people through the All Stars Talent Show Network, the Leslie J. Raffel Development School for Youth, our summer corporate internships program and other development programs and initiatives.
