About Alternative View Studios
Alternative View Studios designs and creates bespoke short-form explainer animations for education, health, charity and non-profit organisations, academic research, and corporate clients that raise awareness and tell stories.
From scriptwriting, illustration, and storyboard creation to voiceover, sound effects, and music arrangement, we bring animations to life, ensuring they convey messages and engage audiences.
Primarily supporting the healthcare, education and charitable sectors, we work collaboratively with our clients to produce engaging results that promote, entertain, educate and raise awareness.

Since Alternative View Studios was established in 1998, we've won BAFTA, BETT, BIMA, IVCA and RTS awards.
Founder and director of Alternative View Studios, Neil Thompson is an experienced illustrator, animator, and designer with over 25 years in the creative industry.
He’s produced and directed a wide range of projects for organisations such as the BBC, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Cambridge University Press, and Oxford University Press, as well as smaller charities including LEAP and Medical Aid Films.
Passionate about the power of storytelling, Neil works closely with clients to bring ideas to life through engaging, impactful animation.
