altona Diagnostics is a medical diagnostic company that develops & manufactures diagnostic tests for the PCR-based detection of pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, & parasites. Headquartered in Hamburg-Altona Germany, we are privately owned & employ more than 350 people worldwide– making us a major player in molecular diagnostics for over 25 years.

We are the Indian arm of this international powerhouse, bringing superior RT-PCR-based diagnostic solutions to the Indian healthcare landscape. Our mission is to equip diagnostic labs, hospitals, & research institutions in India with the molecular diagnostic tools they need to detect infectious diseases - quickly, accurately, & efficiently.

Our product catalog contains over 60 CE-IVD marked kits that are compatible with open real-time PCR platforms.

We offer an automated workflow solution that is based on liquid handling instrumentation performing nucleic acid extraction along with PCR preparation & analysis through a dedicated software.

altona Diagnostics India, based in New Delhi, is the regional hub of our national operations.

GROWTH

2012: Direct operations in India began from Hamburg, establishing early presence & strategic relationships in the Indian diagnostics landscape.

2017: Incorporated our Indian office, with headquarters in New Delhi, marking the launch of localized operations & engagement.

2020 onwards: altona Diagnostics India has grown into a 22-member team of sales professionals, service engineers, administrators, and research scientists—dedicated to supporting molecular diagnostics customers across the country
