AltTech Foundation

The Bangalore-based AltTech Foundation is a for-industry, not-for-profit, action research institution dedicated to accelerating sustainability with market-led interventions that are aimed at deep decarbonisation of cities, buildings and the built environment. It facilitates innovative and effective, trans-disciplinary approaches to designing, curating, mentoring and enabling energy efficiency and productivity programmes for students and working professionals, and to offering capacity building strengths for managers in industry, services and the government.
AltTech, founded in 2004 as part of a group of institutions that was first constituted in 1990, has nurtured and fostered transformative green technologies for the future of industry, commercial and residential sectors, as well as for agriculture. The Foundation’s unique approaches are marked by strategies for solutioning sustainability that blend economic efficiency, awareness campaigns, and practical research that helps to identity solution frameworks that meet both financial and ecological bottom lines.
