Ama International

Ama International is a woman-led 501(c)(3) that mobilizes $3M+ annually in educational, medical, and humanitarian aid between West Michigan and Zapopan, Mexico. We empower underserved communities through school supply drives, job-training scholarships, and cross-border service trips. In 2024, Ama launched Grand Rapids Giving Day (GRGD), a year-round platform transforming the nonprofit sector by replacing competition with collaboration. GRGD offers monthly workshops, curated resources, and culminates in the Social Innovation Pitch on Giving Tuesday. In its first year, GRGD united 40 nonprofits, 519 donors, and 30 sponsors, generating $150K+ in value and earning recognition from UN World Logic Day for advancing SDG 5 and 17.
