About thirty years ago, Amazone was founded in the heart of Brussels: a unique concept that has inspired many other countries. Creating synergies and joining the forces of the women's movement, this is Amazone’s motto. Stronger together!
Amazone hosts the offices of nearly twenty women's organizations. We also have a unique and open-to-the-public venue for meetings, conferences or for a delicious lunch respectful of the Slow Food principles. Our Resources Centre on Gender Policy collects and disseminates documents related to gender issues from the authorities, the women's movement and the academic world. Moreover, the Resources Centre is the official partner and the Belgian national focal point of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE).
