American Malting Barley Association

The American Malting Barley Association strives to encourage and support production of an adequate supply of high quality malting barley for the malting, brewing, distilling and food industries through increased understanding of the malting barley crop.

The Objectives of the American Malting Barley Association to attain its goals include:
-Direct member investment towards University research programs through a formal grant process supporting industry needs that prioritizes variety development, trait and germplasm development, and technology advancement
-Coordinate the evaluation of new malting barley varieties to inform a recommended variety list for growers each season
-Provide leadership for industry member committees that address emergent needs in agricultural policy and communication related to malting barley
