Formed in 1980, ARS grew by bringing together trusted local and regional service companies and later joined with Rescue Rooter, a plumbing brand founded in 1975, under shared ownership by ServiceMaster in the late 1990s. Today, ARS/Rescue Rooter is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, with locations across 24 states and Washington, DC, delivering essential services to homes and businesses nationwide.

Community Service

ARS/Rescue Rooter supports communities through its company-wide ARS Cares initiative, which provides free HVAC systems and water heaters to selected community heroes. The company also supports organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine, and contributes to a range of local charities across its operating locations.
