Overview
About Americares
For 45 years, we have been a beacon of health and hope for communities worldwide, confronting pressing health challenges. Established in 1979, we are a health-focused humanitarian organization dedicated to responding to people affected by poverty, disaster, and inequity with life-changing health programs, medicine, and supplies.
Our mission is to help people and communities access health in times of disaster and every day. We envision pathways to health and opportunity for all, driven by our commitment to sustainable solutions and treating people as they want to be treated.
To date, we have provided over $20 billion in aid to 164 countries, including the US. We distribute over $900 million in medicine and supplies to 90 countries each year. Over the next five years, we aim to help 100 million people gain access to quality healthcare. Let’s make health happen for everyone, everywhere.
