About Amrita Devi Foundation
𝗔𝗺𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is a registered NGO committed to empowering women, uplifting rural communities, and restoring our environment through sustainable, high-impact initiatives. Founded in 2019, the organisation works across Uttarakhand and Delhi NCR with a mission to build self-reliant women and greener, resilient communities.
Through our 𝗔𝗺𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 (𝗔𝗗𝗪𝗦𝗗𝗜), we equip young women and girls with practical, livelihood-ready skills — from Computer Operations and Digital Marketing to Stitching, Tailoring, and other vocational courses. More than 2000+ women have been trained, and over 300+ have become self-dependent, taking up jobs, freelancing, or starting their own micro-enterprises.
Under 𝗔𝗺𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 (𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗖), we are driving large-scale environmental action through afforestation and climate-positive community work. We have planted and maintained 1000 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 in Uttarakhand and 500 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 in Delhi NCR (Aravalli Hills) in collaboration with responsible corporates. Our initiatives not only restore ecology but also generate rural employment and awareness.
We also run impactful social drives such as clothing distribution, community support programs, and awareness initiatives like 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗦𝗥 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 — 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗦𝗥 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗦𝗥 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀.
Recognised for our work, the foundation holds the 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀™ 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and has been honoured as the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗚𝗢 (2021) 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗡𝗘 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀.
