Overview

About AMSSM Collaborative Research Network (CRN)

The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) was formed in 1991 to provide a forum to foster professional relationships among sports medicine physicians who seek to advance the discipline of sports medicine through education, research, advocacy, and excellence in patient care. Building on the success of the AMSSM Foundation Research Grant Awards Program and the long-standing efforts of the Research Committee, AMSSM officially launched the Collaborative Research Network (CRN) in the summer of 2016 to further expand and grow the research presence within and outside the organization. The mission of the CRN is to foster collaborative research to advance the clinical practice of sports medicine. We create opportunities for high-impact research within Sports & Exercise Medicine; develop the pipeline for future researchers who can conduct research of the highest quality and methodology; and translate research into outcomes that improve community health.
