Overview

About Andalus Committee

The Andalus Committee is the first youth-led think tank, with a global presence across all continents, to explore the emerging opportunities of the Global South and produce recommendations for world leaders. Our organisation brings together students from more than thirty prestigious universities, including Columbia University, Sciences Po Paris, Georgetown University, HEC Paris, King's College London, and the London School of Economics.

Established in 2023, the Andalus Committee is an independent, apolitical, and non-profit organization, fully funded by its members' contributions. We advocate for an international system founded on tolerance, inclusivity, and justice, aligned with the evolving dynamics of our time. Inspired by the ideal of Convivencia drawn from Al-Andalus' imagination, we believe that the diversity of the Global South can serve as a driving force for shared prosperity. In this post-unipolar, yet not fully multipolar era, young leaders have a pivotal role to play in crafting recommendations that respond to the new realities of our emerging order.

If German Chancellor Olaf Scholz describes our current moment as a Zeitenwende—a historic turning point—and Brazilian President Lula asserts that “the future will be multipolar,” then one reality stands unmistakably clear: the international order is experiencing a profound and irreversible transformation. This transitional era, marked by the rise of emerging powers and a realignment of global alliances, presents both risks and unprecedented opportunities. Understanding and effectively navigating these shifts is essential to unlocking the full potential of this changing global landscape.
