Animal Law & Policy Network (ALPN) is India’s first independent think-tank for advancing research on animal law and policy. ALPN conducts data-driven and evidence-based research on issues involving farmed animals in India. Our research is interdisciplinary (collaborative across diverse fields) and intersectional (understanding overlapping layers of social inequities).

Our work is aimed at bringing urgent policy attention to neglected yet pressing issues faced by farmed animals by fostering engagement with and providing support to a diverse set of stakeholders.

ALPN hopes to shape a future that is climate-resilient, food-secure, and pollution-free, by addressing the critical link that is often neglected but highly impactful - animal welfare.
