About AO VET
Who we are
AO VET is an independent, nonprofit organization representing a global network of surgeons, scientists, and other professionals highly specialized in the field of veterinary surgery of the musculoskeletal system.
AO VET’s aim is to advance the practice of veterinary surgery to improve patient outcomes. We accomplish this by building a network of professionals who share this goal and demonstrate their passion for orthopedics and teaching by sharing their experiences, knowledge, and expertise in a collegial and collaborative way.
What we do
Education: AO VET provides curriculum-based courses and training worldwide which focus on methods, not products, in peer-to-peer, interactive learning environments.
Community: With access to a dynamic global network, and the only worldwide academic community, AO VET is the voice and professional resource to enhance your career.
Research & Development: AO VET not only advances patient care with evidence-based medicine through experimental and clinical research but is also a member of AAALAC International for animal welfare in research.
AO VET is one of the four clinical divisions within the AO Foundation.
