About APBI Portuguese Association of Business Intelligence
APBI was formed with the intuition to establish an open and neutral channel, embraced by the professionals of Business Intelligence and Big Data, employees, regulators, academics and responders from the public and governmental spheres to debate and solve common problems, vis-à-vis democracy and democracy of information.
APBI procures a bridge between professionals and the general public, clearing doubts, translating technical concepts for accessible linguistics and requiring a platform of choice, for the constitution of speeches of contact, appreciation of opportunities and values capitalization and value of their assets.
Business intelligence (“BI”) is an open concept and refers to technologies, applications and processes that add to the knowledge of the business, analyzing and using critical information to make decisions about it. It is also known as a System of Support in Decision. BI Recolhem technologies, gerem e fornecem est information, including “datawarehousing”, “analytics” and “data mining”. This theme is, as it were, very much related to “(Corporate) Performance Management” and Management Control and utilizes monitoring and organizational planning for development. Abrange “balanced Scorecarding” (BSC), Key Performance Indicators (KPI`s), dashboards and forecast applications, planning and organizational planning.
