About Apex Specialist Education
Apex Specialist Education operates specialist and alternative provision learning centres based in Rochdale, Stockport and Altrincham, supporting pupils aged 11–16 with SEMH needs through personalised, trauma-informed programmes. Each centre provides calm, structured and emotionally safe environments where young people can re-engage with education at a pace and pathway that is right for them.
Apex Specialist Education was founded on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. We recognise, however, that equality in education cannot be achieved without addressing educational inequity. Not all children are able to thrive in mainstream settings, and many require a more personalised, relational and therapeutic approach in order to re-engage with learning.
Apex Specialist Education improves equity in education by providing highly tailored pastoral and academic support, rooted in a nurture-based and trauma-informed approach. Our learning environments prioritise emotional safety, strong relationships and high expectations, enabling pupils to rebuild confidence, develop resilience and make sustained progress.
