Overview

About APF France handicap - Pays de la Loire

APF France handicap, created in 1933 and recognized as being of public utility, is a national associative movement for the defense and representation of people with motor impairments or multiple disabilities and their families. The association, on a regional scale, brings together 1,500 members, 800 volunteers and 1,000 professionals. Endowed with a unique project of general interest “For an inclusive society! », we act for equal rights, citizenship, social participation and the free choice of lifestyle for people with disabilities and their families. We uphold democratic values and practices that define our orientations and actions. In our charter, which is in line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we affirm our independence from all political parties and all religions, and the primacy of the person: "Human beings cannot be reduced to his handicap or illness, whatever they may be. As a citizen, the disabled person exercises his responsibilities in society: he has the choice and the control of his existence. » We intervene in many areas, at international, national, regional and departmental level, both through our departmental delegations and our head office and through our medical and social services and establishments as well as our adapted companies. APF France handicap campaigns for the promotion of rights.
