About APHA One Health Community
Welcome to the new One Health Community page, hosted by the American Public Health Association’s One Health Section. This is a place to learn about, share news of, and promote communication around the One Health Initiative.
What is One Health?
One Health approaches current and future health challenges and public health risks at the intersections of animal, human, environmental, and climate science. Coordination in the mitigation and response efforts throughout these fields at country, regional, and global levels will build a resilient and sustainable health system for the future.
The One Health Initiative is led by the international Quadripartite Organization comprised of the World Health Organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the World Organisation for Animal Health.
