Applied Psychology and Human Factors group

We are a team of applied psychologists and human factors experts within the School of Psychology, University of Aberdeen. We cover a broad range of applied topics, including workplace incivility, non-technical skills, risk normalisation, peer checking and more. We have collaborators across industries including aviation, healthcare, mountain guides, farming, fishing, forestry and police. Our core aim is to conduct rigorous research that has direct, and useful, application in the real world. We co-produce tools with industry to enhance safety, well-being and effectiveness at work.
