About Applied Systems
Applied Systems is a type-led brand design studio helping organisations define a voice no one else has.
Typography is the most repeated brand touchpoint. It appears everywhere (from wayfinding and signage to websites, documents, campaigns, and internal communications) shaping tone, authority, and emotion long before the words are read. We see type not as decoration, but as brand infrastructure.
We design identities from strategy. Starting with type allows us to define a distinctive strategic voice and build visual systems that work consistently across audiences, platforms, and environments. Our work is research-led, measured, and collaborative, ensuring brands are clear, confident, and adaptable over time.
We work with property and placemaking organisations, architects, professional services, established brands, and design studios seeking bespoke typography and strategic collaboration.
Alongside client work, we’re committed to education and ethical practice through talks, lecturing, mentoring, and collaboration supporting sustainable, meaningful creative work.
