(APTA) American Platform Tennis Association

The mission of the American Platform Tennis Association is to:

-Govern the sport of platform tennis
-Grow participation among all levels and types of players and across all regions
-Improve all aspects of the game

We will accomplish this mission by:

-Maintaining the rules and codes of behavior to ensure the integrity of the game
-Creating and increasing awareness of platform tennis
-Providing guidance to leagues, clubs, and municipalities on how to start platform tennis leagues and programs and then how to make those leagues and programs successful
-Promoting the sport among current players to raise their level of passion

The APTA is a non-profit organization of over 35,000 members and an annual operating budget of just over $1,000,000. The APTA oversees:

-The APTA Tour
-More than 275 annual tournaments, including 47 National Championship Events
-National Rankings
-Platform Tennis Index (PTI)
-League management system
-Hall of Fame
-Regulation of equipment standards for balls, paddles, and courts
-APTA website
